WW

I rejoined Weight Watchers today, after being away from it for about 6 months. I didn't do too badly on my own (read: I didn't blow it and regain a whole bunch of weight) but I think the structure of the program will help me get back on track. I still have another 12ish lbs to lose to reach my goal. Fortunately, my health insurance will reimburse me 50% of the cost of the meetings that I attend.

Just a casual observation but I dont think you need to lose any more weight. You look great as you are. But if its gonna make you feel better Ill support ya =)

:) Thanks Frankie. My goal weight (150 lbs) is the top end of the WW range for my height, and would put me at the highest BMI that is considered "normal" or "healthy" or whatever. I don't see myself getting much below that, though. I'd look positively anorexic in the 130 range, I'd bet.

And if I don't get to 150, I'm ok with that (though I would like to try). I don't think BMI is the most accurate measure for someone who has lost a significant amt of weight anyway. WW will accept a higher goal weight approved by a Dr.

You can do it, Kris! Just listen to your body and if trying to lose those last few pounds becomes too frustrating, you can always go the doctor's note option to make lifetime to stop paying. You could then keep working on those last few later if you wanted.

I think you look great already, Kris, but congratulations on making the steps to do what you want to do.

Yeah, you do look good already! I would've guesstimated you at 140 lbs max.

You are lucky on that discount! Some of the insurance companies in Michigan allow 12-week memberships for only $25!!! but no ... the only WW discount I qualify for is pretty miserly.
