lazy weekend

I've spent the weekend just kicking back and not doing a whole lot of anything productive. I mean, I ran yesterday morning but that is the only thing that has moved me out of my apartment so far with the exception of taking the trash to the dumpster. I may take a walk later today, as the weather is simply gorgeous.

I did some work for my class that I am taking, so I have been productive. Also, I've added a few blog entries as you may have noticed. :-)

I've spent a lot of time just reading through other blogs. I read through an entire series of posts by a woman named Kristy on her blog. I like her writing style, she is a good story-teller. As a result of reading this blog, I learned about BlogHer, a site for women bloggers. I am thinking of joining, and giving my blog some wider exposure.

I also found this particular post by a different blogger. Wow. I really like his analogy, and I think I am guilty of doing the same thing. It is something for me to think about.

I love viewing people's musings about their lives. Perhaps it is a bit voyeuristic, but for as open-minded as I try to be, I know that I live in a fairly narrow world. I also know that in some respects, I have much less "life experience" than many people my age. I like to think that by reading blogs, I get a window into a world I may someday know. Sometimes it may be one that I hope to never have to experience. Either way, I think it helps me keep my eyes open to the fact that everyone's experience with life is very different, but no less valid than anyone else's experiences.

Kris,

When it comes to reading other peoples blogs, I feel kind of the same. Its interesting to get other peoples views on their life or life in general. I pretty much limit myself to the blogs of people I know but at times Ill look at someone's blog who might be a friend of a friend or something. Im liking the new look of your blog btw. Not that old look was bad but it was a bit too pink for me =)
