Well, for $150 (on sale), it's more than just a toy.
Garmin Forerunner 205
I am now truly a running geek. Granted, I didn't spend even more $ for the 305 or 405 models which include a heart-rate monitor, but still... I will now be wearing a freakin' GPS unit on my wrist when I run. I can use it to track where I've been or even find my way home, though it won't have that funny feminine computer voice that my grandpa's beloved car GPS unit does. I have a good sense of direction, though, so mostly I will use it to track my route and get an accurate idea of my pace and mileage.
I have road-tested it on walks around the neighborhood yesterday and today. Tomorrow a.m. will be my first time using it for a run.

WOO HOO!! Good for you! I have the Garmin 305, but have gotten to the point that I rarely use the HRM on it because the readings seem to be hit or miss for me. I love mine. :-)
You are such a geek, lol. But of course we were bred that way in our family, lmao!
You are gonna love it!!
gee, if I'd known Kris, I'd have given you my 201; I find I obsess when I wear it and that does me no good.
