This afternoon, I was off work early and thus had the time for a long run on a weekday. I'm running a 10K race on Saturday, so it was nice to switch up and get 8.25 (ish) miles today.
I ran through a local metropark.
It smelled like summer!
Anyone who grew up in or near the country will know what I mean. It was that warm, grassy, flowery smell that you don't usually have until closer to July in Ohio, and only have outside of city limits.
Spring smells different than summer. This was definitely summer.

Well it still smells like spring in TX but feels like summer with the heat! Ugh :(
I had that smell on my run yesterday. All honeysuckle sweetness!
