yes, I'm cheating

I am not really going to write much tonight. I just wanted to point you to a post by Chris over at Formerly Fun, a blog I follow.

My thighs take top billing on a least-favorite-body-part list that sometimes feels like it is a mile long. So a post that celebrates women's thighs (and their imperfections) caught my notice. That poem she posted also captures some of the mixed emotions I have when trying to reconcile my own body dissatisfaction and my feminist beliefs.

Regarding the final photo on that post? Yeah, most days at least, I think I'd rather have mine than those. (But is it too much to ask to have thighs that look at least a little more like the example in the fishnets? Wow!)

dude.
i keep telling you.... where i come from, the thicker they are, the better.
even the fishnet ones, would be a little lean.
its great coming from a family/community where women are supposed to look like women, not 12 year old boys.

I don't know anyone who would like the last thighs (or the non-thighs). *shudder*
